That’s one of the most fricked up pieces of interstate around. A true example of the Louisiana way.

Yes, of course.
Foster Campbell is responsible for I 20 maintenance, rural internet connectivity and migration at the border.
He is doing a poor job in the Middle East.

basic necessities(ie basic internet/cell service) to rural areas

those are not basic necessities
FWIW, landline telephone service was deemed a basic necessity close to 85-90 years ago. "Necessity" as in a regulated utility which had to be brought to anyone who asked. With widespread growth of the digital world, HSIA and cellular services have become necessary utilities in their own right.

That said, Starlink is the answer you seek as far as remote internet service. Pricey and a little flaky at times, but unless your local ISP has fiber optic available, it's the only realistic alternative.

The DOTD. That part of road is a war bombed Mogadishu. I have driven on bad interstate. Nothing compares to that.

Both east and westbound on I20 from the LA/TX line to the east side of Bossier City is the worst stretch of interstate in the entire fricking country.

Taxman,

Where you from? I live in Minden. There is a guy that will run against Foster and beat him. He will get the crap fixed, he isnt a politician but wants to bring some common sense to a position that has been lacking that.

He is a career politician, been in office for what? At least 20 years.

He has no incentive to get anything done. The only way to get change in this state is for people who don't really want to, to run for office. Anyone who would do a good job doesn't want to deal with that shite, but these people are too comfortable in their positions and unless people start taking action and going after these career politician jobs its going to be the same shite.

I'm born and raised in Shreveport and lived like 20 years there. Imo it's not that bad, the road conditions. Traffic is 0. Out of Shreveport, Nola, BR, and Houston, the Montrose neighborhood in Houston has by far the worst road conditions of them all. Prob not all Houston, but in Montrose you can't go a single mile without road construction and having to divert taking a completely ineffecient route. Terrible conditions, so much just uneven split/raises, potholes. No such thing as a flat road stretch of more than 20 ft. This isn't interstate though.
