Welp 10W looks backed up to Essen already and it's not even 3:30pm. Google maps also shows a crash on 110N right at the curve

We'll see if Friday can match this.

Still baffling to me that there is virtually no highway network west of the river in Baton Rouge. No system redundancy, and few (if any) alternative routes to that damn bridge.

I have to get local drivers credit, it’s pretty impressive to do so much damage so quickly

That may be the most deteriorated, most poorly drained freeway section I've ever seen. I can't believe there aren't more accidents there at either of those 90 degree bends.

And BR politicians expect people like Amazon to put their HQ in their city?

There's also one on I-10W just before Essen, and another at Jefferson/Corporate. Incredible how one mishap sets off a chain reaction throughout the entire city. If only people weren't so god damn incompetent.

I hydroplaned bad one time in that curve. Luckily it was 1:30 at night with no one around and I was able to save it

This city would be great if it weren't for all the people born here.

No one in the right mind thinks Amazon will move their HQ to any of Louisiana's cities.

They have a pretty decent shot at an Amazon distribution center though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the sole purpose of that ridiculous death trap of a curve for Huey Long to line 110 up with the state capitol and make it pass right by the governor's mansion? It makes no sense.

If anyone has business between Baton Rouge and Lafayette, you're better off going a day in advance and spending the night. It's quickly becoming the most unreliable 45 miles in America.

That's the rumor, but I used to work with this really old dude who was on the design team for that part of 110, and he said this was not true at all. He said it was the only way for them to get between some of the existing properties in that area.
