Those big sound barriers look like they’ve been in baghdad for 100 years but less clean, all stained and black.
They really are gross looking. Many other states have them and they don't look like that.

This going down to one lane for a year has to be the worst decision ever made.

I mean it’s a cluster frick 80% of the time now can you imagine with only one lane?

Not to mention it creates a real safety issue as well. You better not get sick downtown and need an ambulance to get you to a hospital before you die.

When it is time to go down to 1 lane, how about doing this at each on ramp:

Have someone that checks for a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, a license plate, and at least 1/4 tank of gas before getting on the interstate?

The stalls and issues are typically caused by people who don’t fill all these criteria points before getting on the interstate.

same as everyday, you can bet that those in charge will never be stuck in that situation
So in other words we’ll just have to deal with.
The trash has always been there. When we’d be coming back from vacation the kids would say, we must be back in Louisiana. It is a disgrace.

where do all the tax dollars go?

The plexiglass sound dampeners along the lakes are really going to make the views pop once they are covered in exhaust and dirt too

Only people that are picking up garbage in Baton Rouge are a volunteer group of little old white ladies. I've helped but this shite should be done by fricking prisoners - The fact DOJ now calls prison labor, slavery, is bull shite. Send the white prisoners to pick it up then. You'd think they'd want to get their lazy fricking asses outta the cell for some fresh air.

Does Baton Rouge even own a street sweeper?

That’s a good question. I’ve never seen one. Who is responsible for litter pick up along the interstate, the city or DOTD? Here is Texas, I believe that TxDOT handles that.

Just wait until it’s reduced down to one lane

I can’t believe some idiot came up with this plan and they’re going with it. Wait it’s Louisiana so yes I can.

Baton Rouge will be absolute gridlock across town from 6 am to 10 pm.

The interstate will basically be closed. Think about how bad it is around town when the interstate is shut down for a wreck. That’ll be every day for a year which will probably take longer than they think.

It will be a nightmare. I hope they delay this shite until 2025.

I’ve been trying to get my parents to evacuate Baton Rouge. Hopefully once this starts it’ll finally be the push to get them to leave.
