So how do we find out in this hypothetical? Do we find texts from the teacher asking if our daughter is mad at him? Cause then I'd probably just feel bad for the guy.

I would not have caused trouble for a female teacher that was teaching my son a few extra things on the side. (His mother would have seen that differently, so there may be trouble anyway.)

what if you were the first one to find out, do you still go to the school, putting your child through that embarrassment by going public with it, or do you handle it discreetly and let the teacher resign and go somewhere else, quietly with no explanation.

I failed myself as a parent so at this point, I'd let the chips fall as they may. I'd listen to both sides of the story and go from their. If it was rape, I'd kill the teacher.
