Can an employer mandate that all employees will be at work at 9am and will stand and recite the Pledge of Allegiance with their hand over their heart?

Depends if you like your paycheck

In my opinion, if it's his business, not funded by the government, then he/she should have to right to mandate that IF you want to work there.

I’m pro-Pledge of Allegiance in the work place. I’m all for patriotism in the workplace. Just wondering if it violates the First Amendment to make others say it.

Buying allegiance isn’t a good strategy, but sure.

Are they forced to work there?

The First Amendment restricts government action. Is your employer the government?

Just my opinion, but I think a court would tell him he can’t.

It seems like a private company has every right to expect its employees to be at work by a certain time. You might not agree with reciting the pledge but you also don’t have to work there.

Maybe if you’re a teacher

Good strategy for finding out who the filthy, commie rats are.
I'll allow it.
