Exactly!!! So who are those people? Racists defend racists and racism. Racists hate those who spotlight racists and racism. Anyone in America who denies racism against African Americans exists is either a blind ignorant fool or racist themselves. Responses in this discussion will clearly spotlight who they are. Unfortunately, far too many populate LSU's fanbase.

Or perhaps the people that populate this fan base understand that there’s no evidence that the murder committed in Minneapolis was motivated by race and they understand that calling it racism without any evidence is actually a racist act.

Just imagine, If there were no racial injustices then Kap wouldn't have the platform to make Nike money now would he.

If you TRULY believe that if it was a White Male that was stopped by that same cop and that white male cooperated FULLY with the cop as evidenced by the video, do you truly believe the White male would have had his life snuffed out in the same exact manner as did Mr. Floyd.

If you truly believe that, then you are exposing yourself.

If you don’t under that prejudging a man’s actions simply because of the color of his skin, then you TRULY don’t understand that is the definition of racism.

You know, if I'm so fricking privileged, why can't I dress like a dork and show my arse-crack in public and have people think it's "cool"?

I don't give a damn what brand it was, whether it was Reebok or Under Armour or Nike. This type of virtue signaling always comes from the liberal perspective and forces white participants to adopt the collective white guilt and all related issues must be viewed through that lens or you be labeled a racist or privileged.

This is the reason LSU an other athletic programs are compelled to blindly jump on board with Nike's message lest it be used against them. Yet, no athletic program in the country has been affected by exactly what I stated more than LSU has in the past 18 months. A bright young talented basketball player lost his life in a senseless shooting. A couple months later a future NFL first round draft choice could have suffered the same fate while selling a Xbox in north Baton Rouge. Fortunately a teammate was also armed and shot and killed the assailant.

Neither of those incidents involved a single white person, let alone a policeman. These incidents play out thousands of times a day throughout the country, most often in the fertile recruiting grounds of college athletics. If Nlke wantss us all to be part of the change the " change " cannot be viewed only through the singular lens of extremely rare white on black racist acts. Instead of creating these goal post moving nebulous concepts like " white privelege " enforcement and adherence to the rule of law must be paramount or nothing will change.

Way to deflect from the issue here

No , the issue is failure of Nike and the social justice mentality which ignores the root cause of the dissolution of society while creating and magnifying a few high profile incidents like this one to justify their position. Wonder if Nike officials would be so sanctimonious if it was their facility in flames?

Hypocrisy ruins a lot.

You can’t make messages about racism and slavery and equal rights etc. while the bulk of your product is manufactured in a way that damn near breaks every child slave labor law in many civilized countries.

And as other have mentioned the rarity in which a police officer unjustly kills anybody let alone a person of a specific demographic is hardly enough to riot and protest over. There are thousands of police interactions every day yet we only hear about the one guy who fricked up. While it’s a tragic loss of life, nobody is perfect yet a large portion of the populace think police officers aren’t allowed to make a mistake. Not allowed to make a bad decision under pressure.

Then we completely ignore the criminal aspect of it all and blame it on food deserts or whatever other catch phrase pundits come up with or just straight up blame white people as many are doing.

Police officers are expected to be like baseball umpires - perfect their first day on the job and improve every day after.

It is unclear what Officer Chauvin was trying to accomplish while holding George Floyd down. I don't understand why the four officers did not just get him into the car. Its infuriating every time one of these rogue officers does these things because the few times fuels the narrative for the left and their sycophantic media. There are sometimes split second decisions that can be second guessed one way or the other. This is not one of them and Chauvin should be prosecuted within the bounds of the law and justice applied as warranted by the facts of his actions and the cause of death. Contributing factors will be weighed. He will not be tried in the streets of Minneapolis or by the cable network cadre of liberal lawyers. None of this justifies what has happened in cities across the country.

Exactly.

I'm not impressed with condemning people who died a century ago.

Stand up to the Confederates or Nazis or whatever of today. But that would mean paying your workers which would cut into your profits.

Because racists like you don't own this board. I'm quite sure I was here long before you. Go create an LSU for racists board. And on there you can defend racists and racism to your heart's content with no offense to us non-racists.
