Hurricane Season Nearing - GFS and Future GFS Still Having Bogus Storm Issues

The GFS has a known bias of spinning up storms early and late season from seasonally occurring areas of lower pressure in the WCAB.



So surely they would address this in the new version? Wah wah wah (The new version is still in testing but has been performing better than the old version at 500mb)

Damn not even June yet and we are fuuuuuuuuuucked. I was just telling my wife we didn't even have a rainy stormy spring like other years.

I brought this up in the other thread. GFS is currently being very consistent with something brewing up. The path keeps flopping from the mouth of the river to east of Florida.

When our resident experts post these future models, I like to check this chart to get an idea of Category strength of the tropical system.

I'm just about to buy a house. Certainly I have PJ like power of bad luck. I will probably jinx the shite out of Louisiana and we will get 5 named storms this year, just to test out the durability of my new home.
