I haven't watched a single second of TWC for this thing. I can barely stomach them nowadays and honestly get almost all my weather info from here and other forums, then I try to read between the lines and filter out all the crap

OT was locked into those ICON runs a couple of days ago. Those are what we call, and called at the time, outliers.

Well do you think it would've been right all along had that low level circulation entered the Gulf of America last night? Or would the shear have been too much?

The shear and dry air was always going to win when it came to that.

This is what I’m most worried about at this time is tidal surge and a bunch of rain all at the same time.

If we get a major hurricane in the next week to 10 days just west of Vermilion Bay, the storm surge would go past Lafayette.

Yeah me too. It’s not the rain that floods us on the river…it’s the SE wind.

Every radar I see shows it to be pretty decent on I-10 west in the morning. Am I seeing it right?

ETA: leaving the emerald coast.

The GFS isn't spinning anything up 384 hours out, what else are we supposed to do?

Damn, no more baseball, football hasn't started yet, and not even a hint of any tropical weather to obsess over.
