Water is falling now, but Ward Creek @ Government got .6' higher than it did in August 2016.

Just had the power company here. Dang shotgun fuse on the line didn't pop, it burnt thru. Ever hear a 7600 kv line arc off? That went on a good two minutes.

No a side note. Anybody here live in the northern part of Pointe Coupee? Power guy told me they got up to 10" last night/this morning.

Yep. The branch of Wards Creek behind our house was almost over the top. Neighbor has been here 20+ years and had never seen it that high.

During the flood is was still 2’ from the top.

Lsupimp - I live in your area. Right now safe at work (Kennilworth/Highland). I'm thinking of staying here till 2 and leave. Is that my safe bet?
