Euro doesn't do too much with the system as it cross the Gulf, that seems like a good sign.

I think it depends how strong or not it gets...very least I think it will be breezy all over South Louisiana should this track verify.

IMO it may be underestimating the intensity. I could see it bombing, for sure.

Yep. My kids were already talking about a four day weekend (they have tomorrow off for the parish fair). I used to be the same way when I was their age.

For comparison, 12z GFS @ 7AM Sunday morning:

12z Euro @ 7AM Sunday morning:

GFS roughly 90 miles to the west of the Euro.

At the rate it keeps shifting west you have to wonder if it becomes a W LA threat. It has been shifting west since yesterday almost every run.

90 miles is as good as it gets in terms of agreement.

That is pretty good agreement at that range but doesn't mean they won't change.

The wave near Fla straights interacting with Nate when he comes up into the gulf? Haven't looked at the nitty gritty of the run though, just a guess at what the Euro might be seeing.

The set up immediately prior to the Yucatan and immediately after is very favorable with ocean temps, and shear is very low once it crosses the Yucatan.

That being said, Nate has a long ways to go given his current setup, so hopefully its just too much for it to intensify greatly.

FWIW, the GFS takes the maximum winds to 65mph right before landfall on the 12z run. Let's hope it's no more than that.

You're a dumbass. It's fall break, the teachers are already off Monday and Tuesday. You've got no clue what teachers go through on a daily basis or how hard they work. Does one lazy teacher make them all lazy? Does one bad cop make them all bad? You're definitely the f-tard in this thread.

I think it's amplifying the trough coming out of the Straits too much.

That's the way it appears on the Euro. Dealing with the remnants of that wave as it nears the middle of the GOM:

Notice the wind barbs to the west of Nate in this image. They're not tightly wrapped around on the west side, and some winds are from the SE even though its on the W to NW side of the storm.
