It keeps shifting westward and it has since this morning. It's not big shifts by any means so it's hard to say just how much it would hurt the path. That said, I still believe they should've expanded that cone just a little bit westward but really, people in New Orleans should've prepared for it by now especially when something that close is telling you it's coming even if they didn't slap you in the cone. And I get why they did it like that just saying I don't always agree with it. Is what it is though. They did give people the proper information throughout this storm problem is a lot of people don't digest it. Most probably just look at a cone and hey, it's projected to be a weak Cat 1 I'll check tomorrow night to see if I need to prepare. They said repeatedly for days it could intensify quickly and had a high chance at doing so which it did.

Again, what are you basing this on?
The cone has had the center passing over plaquemines parish since last night making the turn north around. 89 degrees west

From what they've said (or others): the cone is 1 standard deviation of the average over a 5 year period. So, roughly ?s are in the cone and ? are outside

Why aren't they doing advisories every hour? NHC hates Louisiana.

I guess it would help to know why he disagrees.
Does he have data or does he just "feel it me bones, matey!"?
