My friend down in Mexico just sent this to me. Surge is really taking a toll down there.

I think that picture is a pretty normal occurrence in the shithole of Progreso

Have to imagine if it comes across as a Cat 3/4 where they think, that direct path of 100 miles inland won't do much to weaken Milton

These people don't need to be worried about toilet paper. If Tampa sees a 12 to 15 foot storm surge, half a million people would be at risk of drowning.

I would love to know what the current pressure is. We may never know how strong it got.
I don't think it will hold this intensity.

Well folks looks like this storm will be the big one Tampa has dreaded seeing for over 100 years. Catastrophic situation on deck. Buckle up

A lot of the halloween decorations will get knocked down.

I went to Home Depot yesterday. They had big packs of TP, for $26. Folks were buying the hell out of 1/2" plywood.
Who would hit the sign language woman in BDR's presser? She looks about 60, with excellent genetics.

I’m having my roof repaired from Helene tomorrow so I’m hoping I only have to deal with a toppled trashcan.

No doubt. All my flights are to shitty places like Columbus, OH. My company sucks. I’m enjoying the miles though.

I have been down your way Reauxl - stayed at the Hilton across from the soccer stadium. really liked it down that way and really hope everything ends up ok there.

It's interesting how much it resembles the accretion disk around a black hole.

The Old Vinoy is cool, with a great backstory. That whole area around there is awesome.

ideally you hope it's at it's peak now and a little dry air and closer to landfall it dies down
it would also be helpful if it is not a direct hit on Tampa
still some time to jog north or even south of tampa to prevent the worst case scenario
