Streets are already flooded and drainage ditches are overflowing already in Venice. Not good

The shape of the bay plays a big part in this scenario, too.

Also, the Hillsborough River is still draining water from last week into the bay. Then Milton starts shoving it in. This may be the one they have talked about for years, putting 14' of water in downtown Tampa.

Liz, what part of Naples do you live in?
I used to live in Naples across 41 from The Moorings. And then moved to Bonita Springs.
Sometimes I regret moving b back to NOLA.

I am now in Bonita, which has really come up, quite a bit. Love it, but they continue to build. Terry doesn't have the infrastructure to handle more snowbird housing. Cow pastures are becoming neighborhoods.

How often do Hurricanes dorm off Mexico and take a direct easternly path?

This seems odd

It is rare, but not unheard of.

I lived off E Terry between Old 41 and I75 in the early to mid '90s. I haven't been back there since, about 30 years, so I know it must have changed tremendously. Back then, east of 75 was all woods/ rural land.

Go luck with whatever this storm does.

Doesn’t look like the closest line to the coast, draw it to that canal below the Costco and I bet you’re a quarter mile closer

If people actually believe these weather events are manipulated by the government to go where they want you need to seek help. For the sake of whoever is around you or who you interact with do it.

Listen to Michael Jordan please.

Which is wild to see.

What worries me the most about this storm is where it formed. The wife and I live in St.Pete in a high rise so we won’t get flooded, but could be stranded.

Debating on if we decide to go to my parents who are further inland tomorrow.

MTG also believes in Jewish space lasers. We aren’t sending our best with her

Also not shocked to see that many on the Poli Board believe that the government actually controls the weather that place has a room temperature IQ

Yeah, I was just trying to get a straight line measurement. I’m close enough to be worried. Ha ha.
