The fact that it’s a WM dumpster makes me believe they will be made whole.

Thanks. It appears that's why I can't reach my in-laws since you're in the same general area.

A couple of reports I got is that Punta Gorda and Englewood got higher surge from Milton than Helene.

Interesting that Long Boat may have escaped the Milton surge.

Not sure, I saw the photo from CNN. Here's a video on it.

I live in Punta Gorda and just got home like 20 min ago. The debris line does look just a tad higher than Helene got, probably by a foot or so.

During Helene, it got up to the base of HWY 17 and Regent Rd on the harbor side. Today, it looks like it got to the other side of 17, which is probably a foot or so higher.

My friends/in-laws in Punta Gorda are also fine. They flooded a little more than they did in Helene (first floor), but all are well.

Note: some of the damage could be 1-2 punch from Helene/Milton

His shop is in Daytona Beach. While he has been mostly out the past 1.5 weeks helping with Helene and now Milton, he returned to his shop to get more supplies for needy people.

GFS has a cat 1-2 hitting LA during a day with low temp in mid 40s

At that point water temps in northern gulf will probably be 5 degrees cooler than current

Happy hour came early today
