Those tornadoes were gnarly

Nothing like a good stiff dew.

The tornadoes this afternoon were the most interesting part of Milton. It was some incredible radar watching.

This is the one that is surprising. In the eyewall of a 120 mph hurricane and the highest wind measured is 58 mph.

Is this some sort of weird masculinity thing? Ohhh I'm not scared of the big bad hurricane?
Clearly there's been damage, so would it kill people to stop being a-holes for 5 minutes?

There’s not any precip in that part of the circulation to bring the strongest winds down. Why the strongest winds are over the Tampa Bay area.

Partially due to nothing stopping the wind out on the water and trees, buildings, etc creating barriers on land. That friction is real.

It means what I said. The tornadoes were the most interesting part.

No. Milton sparked some unusually strong tornadoes and they were popping all up in the radar. He was watching it happen.
Even debris balls on the radar.

It's 58 with gusts of 93. So 93 is the highest.
Or am I reading this wrong
Apparently a 93mph gust isn't real.

This seems like a weird storm. Looking at the radar, it appears all of the rain is north of center. Is that normal? Then there is a thin line of storms circulating hundreds of miles from center. Seems weird to me. But what do I know.

Just depends where the cloud seeding systems are located.
