18Z GFS continues the improving trend and just has a rain event in South Louisiana Thurs/Fri and another in Tampa/St Pete on Saturday. Hopefully this keeps up.

The updated map shows no area of development in the gulf? Is it over?

You have to look at the 7 day outlook it’s still at 50% for 7 day development [/img]

As of right now the models are showing just a tropical moisture mess. Rain along the gulf coast this coming weekend.

No invest yet. It might not get one if model support keeps declining

Here in EBR we had 5 inches of rain the week before Francine. Then it rained over 3 1/2 inches during Francine.....another inch 1/2 in the following days.

10 inches in 2 weeks; almost 2 months worth of rain!

It is a little dry now ; but we do have back log.

Frickin gfs keeps teasing me with a damn cold front and then zaps it on the next run

12z October 14 lows in the 40s, highs in the 60s
18z October 14 lows upper 60s, highs upper 80s

I want my damn proper cold front.

A nice strong Cool Front with Lows in the 40's would be a nail n the coffin for Hurricane season!

Bring it on!
