Weather channel did a pretty good explination as to why the eye isn't actually over LC - the radar in LC is down, they're using from Houston and it's distorted to the east by about 20 miles.

I'm not familiar with all of these storm chasers. Do they typically quit broadcasting live aa the storm is passing or is it outages or safety reasons they duck out?

After the eye crossed LC, there really wasn’t much to film. The back eye wall wasn’t much of anything. Everyone cut their feeds around that time, except the guys you linked.
Be glad you didn’t have to listen to those douchenozzles.
