In Gainesville, nothing much happening yet except nonstop rain and an occasional gust of around 30mph.
Is the dude on TWC really in hurricane conditions? Or is that a fake hurricane stance and a garden hose and fan?

Thanks for the info. Yes, they don't have power? Answer a tad ambiguous. They are mainly concerned with flooding.

Power outage. However, nearby streets it still shows power. Not sure how far these are from you:
Part of veterans parkway
Part of SE 25th Street
Part of Savona parkway

This night crew on TWC is sad. One in Tampa and the other in Orlando, (especially the one in Orlando), standing out in the rain and 30 MPH wind, dressed and armoured up like they on Barbuda when Irma made landfall.
They have to be so jealous of Mike Bettis

Thanks much. Flooding in that neighborhood? Any intel on that?

Sorry, I can't help you there.

Mike's a rock star after today. That was hugely impressive.
Cantore was kicking over potted plants and moving downed vegetation around his camera shoot to make his location look like ground zero.

Because you are a loser that worries about votes

Mike Bettes has more than proven himself year after year..He was the first on the scene in Joplin, and then was in a truck that got flipped in a tornado after that. He was rescuing people in TX last week during the Harvey flooding. He's one of the best.

Information is peace of mind, and I cannot seem to locate such a resource through standard searches. Thanks in advance.
Try try hurricanes.gov website. It's a NOAA/NHC site. There will be a bunch of thumbnails & links. Go to "Storm Surge Inundation" and zoom on Ft Myers.
If Weslayen Dr is just north of the southernmost bridge to Cape Coral, it might be dry, according to the map. Every street isn't labeled, but you can zoom to enough detail to recognize your street. (I was able to find a friend's street in Cape Coral by recognizing an odd shaped turning basin.)
Good luck!

The mob is fickle! There's no telling what sets off the downvoting sometimes. Thanks for your help.
Another question:
If 3.3 million of 4.9 million FPL customers are blacked out and Irma hasn't passed Tampa yet, how in the holy hell are the lights going to get turned back on before about Halloween?

Downvotes show that people read your posts because they are jealous of you.
