Curse you for even thinking it! Just don't want to be in time out when things get interesting tomorrow night. I'm going to have tons of questions. Besides, the side eye doesn't get my good side.

Isn't Mia going to get a decent surge even if this hits on the west side?

All depends on how she comes in.

This TWC graphic of what happens in a 12 foot storm surge is super informative

Wanna know something even more frightening?

That's not including the wave action on top.

I'm going to bed. Got a work day at the hunting lease tomorrow and then have a week to get the house/yard ready for my boy's first bday party next Saturday. I'm exhausted already thinking about it.

I had some great, informative posts bookmarked in this thread. Learned a lot. Wish I hadn't deleted them.

We actually live about 10 miles south of the Marco Island exit. We may have a few feet of water in our house when we return. It's terrible leaving knowing that the lives of your family and your friends will be probably changed for a long time. We have been very lucky for a long time while others have not been. Thanks everyone for all the good luck posts. See you later.

Well, you're doing the right thing tonight. Safe travels to Orlando.Keep us updated when you can.

No worries, I'm clipped

I have a friend who has a vacation home in Ft Myers. They couldn't make it down in time to secure everything. Took the attitude that everything there was insured and wasn't worth fighting the flow of people to get down there

It also doesn't include normal high tide if that's in play, right?
