I wish-casted a storm right through our hometown while it was still like 10 days out and not even in the GOM

Well don't leave us hanging. What did the storm do?

if it makes anyone feel better... the Canadians no longer put the storm in Mobile Bay... it's more in line with the GFS

Just got to Pensacola. About 14 hours of driving today from west palm. I 10 about as open as can be going west from jax tonight. When we passed 75 it was gridlock in both directions. Not sure why more people don't go west.

This. Ride the coast till you're at a safe point.

Everyone wants to go north.

They're northerners and instinctively flee toward home.

That's what we did all day. US 1 along the coast going north to jax. Hung out and let kids play for awhile and were planning to stay when we found out about evacuations in the area starting in AM. Decided to just cut across when others told us they had a clear road to NOLA this evening.

It was long going up, but I was topping off every hour or so and only stopped for lights. The hell with that gridlock shite.

Click on Upper Dynamics and click 500mb Height Norm. Anomaly. I assume you are using Tropical Tidbits.
