UKMET would be the worst case right now it seems. Would gobble up all of south Florida and affect Tampa/Orlando/Jacksonville

The photographs of where it was leveled, nimrod. I don't know the freaking specific boundaries of "Homestead." I agreed with your Homestead statement to throw you a bone. I tried to graciously exit. And you run to google to scan images. So weak.

The issue was that it was implied that the entire city of Miami would be leveled... like in those photographs of Homestead. It would not be.

You argue the word leveled shouldn't be taken literally, then use photos to argue Homestead wasn't literally leveled. You did a complete 180. I can't believe I'm being dragged into OT idiocy.

Can someone explain to me what I'm looking at in this pic and why it's significant?

at flight level the winds are coming out of the WSW at anywhere from 55-83 knots (due to the direction of the "flags" and colors of them)

and the number under it is flight level pressure

I don't think the entire city of Miami would be leveled but significant damage is about to happen. Andrew was a powerful, very small and conpact storm. This storm will be much stronger and larger so there really is no good modern comparison to this storm on record. We are in uncharted modern waters with Irma.
