starting to get a lot of correlation now. east Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina are in for a rough couple of days
Sounds fun with my family and in-laws in Jacksonville Beach and Wilmington NC

First Hurricane exp here. Can someone tell me the east coast is the one to wthe try about here in FL when that map shows the whole fing state and west of the state getting oaths through it as well. Are those just bullshite tracks? I'm tryinh to understand and trying to decide what to do is all. Tanks in advance to any serious responses.
I'll take a crack at this...
This is my first time experiencing a hurricane, can someone please tell me why the east coast of Florida is the major area of concern when that map shows the whole fricking state (including the western half) getting paths through it, as well? Are those just bullshite tracks not to be believed? I'm trying to understand and make a decision about what to do. Thanks in advance for any serious responses to my poorly typed question.
ETA: changed the first line, thanks TigerPox

How shitfaced are you?
If you are in any of those paths on the coast you should leave

t keeps moving further east. This might not even hit Florida.
Dont give people in here false hope. They need to prepare for the worst.
Resistance is futile

I read it as this is his first hurricane experience.

Outer eyewall contracts and inner maintains intensity, maybe Irma pulls the same trick as yesterday?

Latest map says you will get 60-70 mph winds at your house. While it is nothing to sneeze at, it is about 1/3 of what these islanders just saw. I am closer to the eye than you and will be staying if it continues on this projected path.
You picked a good one to pop your cherry on. This one has been the grandmother of them all...so far.

Props to the ones that may give this a serious response.

I'm in Pasco County but Eastern Pasco. It seems like a lot of the shite I'm seeing would be bad enough to leave no matter which coast it hits. Yet , everybody that's lived here their whole fing lives is telling me to not worry at all. I don't get it!

If I tis weak enough to provide a semblance of safety, most people will try to stay so they can possibly take some kind of action to protect their home. Even if they are just able to throw a tarp up and stop some internal flooding, it would minimize the damage.
This is what you are looking at where you live. If your same house that you are in was in Miami, you would have everybody telling you to GTFO. It would get a cartoonish amounts of kicks to the balls with this storm.
Did you try the Sunrise Eatery this morning?

I've never understood how one prediction has it at 20mph winds and another at 160 at the same time
