12z HWRF never makes landfall and has Eta lifting north at the end of the run.

By the second week of november SSTs in northern gulf will be low to mid 70s

Can that support anything?

If a storm comes through as fast as Zeta did, then the SSTs won’t really matter. They would only affect a slow moving storm and would certainly not allow anything to form if it wasn’t already a storm.

Was hoping it would cross over into the Pacific. But looks like it may shift back into the Gulf.

Feel terrible for Bermuda and Belize. Seems like they have been hit hard this year.

Drunk gfs have been known to invite their gfs over for group activity.

18z HWRF takes Eta inland before turning north and this is the end of the run. A system that stays offshore of CA is probably better in the short term, since that area is so prone to flooding and landslides.

Temps are still plenty warm across the WCAB and up into the Eastern Gulf. Also, a setup like Zeta (strengthening driven primarily by favorable dynamics) could occur again farther west in the Gulf.
