Earliest may be 6:00pm.

That should be early enough. The Current track has the core right over Gulfport/Biloxi at 2am Wed...that should be plenty enough time leaving at 6 or the evening, as long as the damn thing doesn't speed up.

The next update at 10pm will be interesting with the track/timing

Is that good?

Yes, that means the system is getting less organized this evening. Also, the cloud tops near the center are warming, indicating that there is not really any deep convection associated with the center. This would also indicate that the system is struggling this evening.

SBT-22 are not SEALs

That's correct. The boats are manned by SWCC crewmen. However, some of the command structure includes SEALs. Bustamante's husband was a SEAL officer.

Latest recon fixes suggest westward jog. Looks like 285 degrees during past 4-5 hours

IIRC now that SWCC is a separate career field, they're transitioning into having their own officers.

The LLC looked completely exposed the last I looked so it’s definitelt struggling. However, the westward movement may be misleading. If convections stays to the East and fires up more it could pull the circulation back that way and kind of even out the extra westward movement. We shall see tomorrow. I am really curious what this will look like when I wake up in the morning.
