Apparently they wanted Baghdad bob out on the weather channel.

I just don't get the complaints about this one. There will probably be some pretty terrible flooding. Gusts over 100 relatively match the intensity we've been discussing for the last 24 hours or so. It seems like in plenty of other storms you get landfall without seeing a recorded gust that even reaches the expected sustained wind level.
It'd be one thing if it supposedly landed as 4 with the impact of a 1 or 2, but that's not what happened. It unexpectedly weakened in the days prior.

I’ve noticed some of the south la posters like to turn hurricane season into a dick measuring contest. It happens every year. Anything that doesn’t hit the gulf gets downplayed into a pussy storm that they would’ve scoffed at.

How many of those posters flooded in 2016 from nothing other than a stalled rain storm?

Well for us real baws, a Cat 1 is just an excuse to party and enjoy the breeze.

Flying out of Baltimore on Monday at noon back to New Orleans. Should I try and change the flight?
Posted on 9/14/18 at 8:35 am to ell_13
Exactly. It was the worst thing in their lives when it happened to them. All jokes and overhype on the east coast.

Charlotte will probably be down but if its a one stop flight you should be okay from Maryland.

USS north Carolina is underwater up to the guns
That deck is all wood, and they may have removed some of the knee-knockers. If she starts taking on water that could get ugly fast.

So was Florence this “Megastorm” (whatever that means) they’ve been predicting or just a standard hurricane?
Come back Monday afternoon and ask.

Looks like a little bitch right now. Down to a depression. From what I understand, this makes it easier for it to go in the gulf and streghten back up. Looks like 3 models have it strengthening to a hurricane with 1 being cat 2.
Pretty sure everyone read the first two sentences and assumed you were discussing Florence, hence the DVs.
