Thanks DirecTV....they replaced boring arse ABC11 with put you asleep faster ABC overnight news.

Time to bitch and guilt them into some free Sunday Ticket. I technically do have family in the R-D area...though he is a jackass.

Morehead City begs to differ. That town looks F’d up. Elsewhere a gust has blown sending a BP overhang for a trip down the street, Belhaven looks like it’s on it’s way to becoming Atlantis.

Not at all. Why would anyone wish harm on others? I’m incredibly thankful that the forecasts were over-hyped.

I’m not downplaying the seriousness of the situation, but it isn’t the doomsday scenario that many folks were predicting.

Yeah. Nevermind the people trapped in their attics and on their rooftops at 330am with the children in New Bern. Flooding is terrible there and they’re having to get specially trained rescue personel to get to these people

I’m pretty sure it was overblown to them

Hey y'all. Had to leave around 3 today. Want to update me? Did the flag survive on
Frying Pan? Any big news?

TIA

Be safe bro. You still have some bad stuff coming your way in the next day or two. Nobody is set up to drain that much rain.

Fish, they are on the bottom side. They are going to get some wind, a ton of rain and some storm surge. They are definitely not in the worst of it but are going to get wet.

I used to live there. Was a nice country living area. Great fishing too! Just hope my friends got out. Tried to text them, no answer.

New Bern has about 150 people stranded right now. They did not leave when told. The rescuers are putting out the word that they are coming to get them.

Damn been up since 3. Ever since Katrina I rarely can sleep through a hurricane, always end up waking up and putting the news coverage on.

I am Jonesing for daylight so we can see what is happening.

Stephanie Abrams is being very dramatic on the weather channel right now. She is wearing a slicker suit so you can’t see them puppies. I am disappointed, these weather chicks should be required to wear a white t-shirt when reporting live in these storms.

They interviewed a man that has a business in downtown New Bern. His business is underwater. The storm surge is almost to his house.

He is older, has lived there all his life, and has never seen a flood.
