Look at the radar, these are just the outer bands producing winds sustained at about 60 gusting to 80. There may not be any Cat 3 winds, but there is a BIG area of damaging 60-90 mph winds.

only been to Isle of Palms in SC. It was ok - sand was brown and water was chopped that day. Nothing like a Florida Panhandle beach. Actually closer to Galveston than 30A.
