Ya, ok, that's like shouting "I'm a drunk white girl" from the same location.

Sure...you'll get plenty of attention, but no matter what you'll be fricked.

Don’t those winds trickle down once the storm gets its shite together? I.e once she expels that stable air

APFR for Columbia should be no worse than Auburn’s APFR with LSU coming to town. In other words, fairly minimal but you never know.

Anyone else notice the HWRF showing Isaac hitting Hispaniola as a Category 4/5?

It's possible. They seldom make it all the way down at that strength, but it's likely the 85 kt wind at the surface will increase considering the winds above it.

Hwrf has been crazy bullish on Isaac the last day or so.

Is thing only a Cat 2 at this point? 85kt is significantly weaker than earlier readings

What is impeding the outflow to the south?

Looks pretty healthy but for that.

Levi Cowen said there may be some residual shear from a trough that used to be in the area blowing winds from south to north

but it's relatively weak and Florence should bust right through it at some point

Has the US catfish industry rebounded some as of late? In the 1990s if you were in Humphreys County, you couldn’t look in any direction and not see ponds. Most were converted back to row crop or turned into CRP.

The latest recon showed it way lower as far as wind speed (previously the 140 was extrapolated) doesn’t seem like it was confirmed.

But the pressure also dropped to low 940s which should be a strong cat 4. 85kt winds at the surface makes no sense. I’m thinking that’s an outlier reading

That’s only 97 mph winds
