There’s one at the Wallace, NC store you can buy and pick up today/tomorrow but it’s the $799 one.

Thank you. I will keep that in my back pocket and use as a last resort for later today. That's a lot of juice but the price isn't bad. i really just need to keep the fridge going and run a box fan to stay happy, lol.

Lot of juice = lot of gas to keep a fridge and fan running. You can run those two things w less than 2000 watts. A $125 window a/c unit in the bedroom is life saver and only needs about 500 watts.

South JacksonvilleLowes has 2 different ones available for pickup today. Both are $699 so... but I guarantee they will be gone by tomorrow. If you don’t find anything by early tomorrow I’d buy online for in store pickup and just cancel the order if you decide not to get them.

Yeah. That’s an issue but I couldmt find anything that would get delivered before 9/17 - 9/20.

You could always buy large black of ice to keep in fridge and freezer. Or to mention I highly doubt those orders will actually be delivered on 19 or 20 after the storm hits with flooding, etc.

I haven’t been paying attention, is this hurricane gonna be a real bitch? Should we be getting ready?

both of those say unavailable for pickup at jacksonville lowes for me. I found a Caterpillar that says 6 in stock but it's $749 for 5500 watt.

TY for trying to help me, though. I'll def update what I find at 6am when they open.

I read the reviews on the $749 caterpillar and they say they won't run fridge without a 30 amp adapter because the plugs are 20A

If you're in southern coastal NC, I'd prepare.

No problems running a fridge on 20 amps. 20 amps x 120 volts = 2400 watts.

I have friends that live in Wilmington and have never dealt with a hurricane. Told them to gtfo on Wednesday morning and make sure that car had gas in it tomorrow.

They weren't there for Sandy? I'm heading to Wilmington Tuesday or Wednesday. Lived there for several years and moved back to SC a couple of yrs ago. I rent out the house there on Carolina Beach Road and am taking supplies from here up there to prepare it for Florence. Sandy did no damage but I don't think I'm gonna be as fortunate this time.

Unless they'll fit in the back of a full size sedan I'll be renting the lowes/home depot truck to get it home. Shallotte is a bit of a treck.

Both jville Lowe's were out at 6am as was home depot. HD says they're getting a shipment this evening and Lowe's on western says they're the emergency store for the area so check in regularly.

Cannot state that strongly enough. The small window units are lifesavers. I had a 6000W generator, ran all my freezers and refrigerators, a few lights and two small window units. Kept things tolerable for Katrina and Gustav power outages.

00z Euro shifted south a bit with landfall in far northern SC. It gets into NC and then drifts south. Rainfall totals look like 20-40" over the western half of NC and SC.

WPC is already going with 15"+ of rain in the 7 day outlook.
