Seems odd that the 18z GFS shows Dorian over lake obechobee and then moves 90 degrees north on a dime. Can’t see that sharp of a turn unless a deep trough is going to dig that far south into central Florida. Quite a sharp turn.

It should basically stall first as the W ATL ridge erodes and gets oriented more due E of Dorian. Steering collapses near landfall and then gets a weak push north.

I’m no expert, and I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t see how this doesn’t become a 5 for at least a bit with all that open water and lack of shear.
