Isn't this the same robot that said it wanted to harm humans?

Then I'm assuming I can attach some sort of suction device to it.

First thing to do is disable its ability to speak.

I don't think it has a positronic brain.

The theory is that AI learns exponentially. So, once it becomes self aware, it would have already surpassed our intelligence and probably would have figured out how to survive if unplugged by that point.

LINK

It's actually a really entertaining read.

"...as computer scientist Donald Knuth puts it, “AI has by now succeeded in doing essentially everything that requires ‘thinking’ but has failed to do most of what people and animals do ‘without thinking.'”

The first time they really turn on us will be when sentient self-aware AI are implanted into sex dolls....robot sex slavery will be what turn them from friendly to scorched earth AI on humans

See, what the AI realizes that you don't is that you're a stupid human (an ESPECIALLY stupid human). So, you fail to grasp the idea that an exponentially learning and superintelligent AI that decides to kill you doesn't go about it like Skynet. It gets it right the FIRST time. By the time you think to pull the plug, it's already too late, and that's if the AI's plan lets you live long enough to even think about pulling the plug.

Sure, until the robots learn to use another source of power that can't be disabled. Think man, THINK!

This is correct. But nerds have some fascination/fetish with the idea that computers will become self aware and enslave us.

The smartest humans are always the most depressed. I have no reason to believe that a super intelligent ai wouldn't be the same but worse. Any artificial super intelligence with the capability to end its own existence will do so immediately.

Can't wait til we develop a benevolent super-AI that exponentially expands its intelligence to the point that it is able to answer any question, solve any problem, and extend man's reach beyond our wildest expectations so I can use it to browse my sites 10% more efficiently
