Bam is super rich and went through all sorts of depression and substance abuse, which got worse when his best friend Dunn died.

Well one who does all of those stunts to cause bodily harm can't be in the right state of mind to begin with. Couple that with losing your best friend/brother to a stupid stunt is the perfect recipe for the ultimate depression. Dunn
