It's irrelevant who is right though, you shouldn't fight over the petty stuff.

1. this

2. thaw is correct.

3. dethaw
A confusing conjunction of "defrost" and "thaw". Has a corresponding etymology to unthaw. Literally it means to refreeze, however, it has never actually been used correctly in conversation. Ever. In fact, it is always used to mean the opposite- a synonym for thaw. Just say thaw, not dethaw, not unthaw, just thaw.

Simple solution. The back door is an exit only. Tell him to come in the front door.

FWIW, it doesn't actually say that. She's just seeing what she wants to see. Dictionary.com says "opposite of thaw". Webster has a link to "thaw" and I guess wrongfully assumes people know what the prefix un- means. You're definitely right on this one.

Means to allow (or force) something to change from a frozen state to an unfrozen one. Similar to melt (or defrost), but when you have a solid, it will not become liquid, so melt might not fit here.

Unthaw

Just spitballing - better to use "freeze" here because that removes ambiguity.

So, "thaw" is probably what was meant. "Unthaw" probably falls somewhere slightly above "I could care less" and "irregardless" - is probably appropriate when describing something that has not been thawed - "It was so cold outside, the meat left out remained unthawed."

Thaw. Otherwise we'd use terms such as unmelt. Do you unwipe your arse after a nice slam? Perhaps you unscratch your nuts when you wake up?

Excuse me while I unclick the babe thread and unfap again.
