All @DeptofDefense military and civilian personnel and families instructed that no domestic travel is permitted unless permission is granted for certain exceptions. LINK

So if this would be expected to trickle down to civilians, don’t leave your city or don’t leave your state? My kid has to go to ole miss to get her stuff that she needs from the dorms on Monday. Like I wonder if blocking of state lines would be a thing?

This whole thing is starting to really piss me off and freak me out. How would they stop travel of normal Americans? Had that ever happened before?

Most corporations have already done this for their employees last week. DoD is a little late on this one.

Think about that for a second.
Hotels. Airlines. Rental cars. Gas. Out of state workers. Impact would be inconceivable.

I just can’t believe this crap is all happening. Some I know are oblivious — what if we’re totally being fd with and guns and whatever else is next??? Why all of a sudden am I freaked out?

I mean, they could activate the Guard in each state and put them on patrols along with local police I guess.
But, after what I saw at the hospital today, shutting everything down is the right call. The ER never stopped my entire 14 hours there. It actually created a separate problem of putting a large group of people showing some type of symptom all in the same area. We have to figure a way to get this under control. The system will break to a point where they run out of tests on every runny nose and end up turning away positive cases.
I’m fully expecting the shite show to just keep getting worse over the weekend.
