What’s an undercarriage campaign?

Undercarriage is the tracks, sprockets, rollers, and idlers on a track type tractor, track loader, or hydraulic excavators. These components of course wear out over time, usually every 4,000-6,000 hours depending on application and underfoot conditions. When they wear out the cost to replace the undercarriage ranges from as low as $12,000 on a small dozer like a D1 to close to $200,000 on a D11. On large mining shovels like a 6015 it gets to the $750,000 range.

A undercarriage campaign is advertising a special pricing and financing deal for a limited time to incentivize customers to buy Caterpillar instead of an aftermarket undercarriage.

Trying to console my wife... New job hasn't communicated with her well. She just got access to certain aspects of things. They were expecting inventory and other factors to be done yesterday. We know upper management in the finance department. May have to go dickslap her higher ups because of failure to communicate planned events. Multiple departments were not notified
sounds like your wife isn’t cut out for the corporate world

Hell; I didn’t know about it other than here.

Am I the only one who had never heard of this holiday until like 5-6 years ago? There was a thread on here with pictures from 100 years ago but my memory of it goes back to like 2017 or so.

3 day? I'm on a 4 day. Off today, Friday, as it is a regular day off in my schedule. Then off for Saturday/Sunday as usual. Lastly followed by Monday for the observance of the holiday.

And starts About 12:00 PM on Friday if you’re like most Salesmen. I knew a sales manager once who said “if you’re not done for the week by lunchtime on Friday, you’ve not been doing your job the rest of the week”.

Too many angry people in here for a Friday night.

But I love Mingo threads. Reminds me of Rag and Stout - has a way to get under people’s skin and I think it’s hilarious.

Keep it up Mingo.

Yeah, lots of animosity in here for a three day weekend. Are you guys normally like this on Memorial or Labor Day? I'd hate to see you guys on the normal Christmas week off. Might be a murder or two.

Come on Green, don't you work for the state? You get off President's Day and stuff like that. I think we have 6 official holidays

NY, Memorial Day, 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas

Correct. People with real jobs, at real companies certainly don’t have next Monday off.

I actually bust my arse this time of year and work 5 days so I can work 2 to 3 days a week from November to February for hunting season.

I’ve got 6.5 weeks of vacation this year and will roll a week to next year but take at lest 8 weeks this year.
