Last night I did OK. I usually awaken for about 2 - 2 1/2 hours around 2:30 or 3:00. If I get more than 4 hour of uninterrupted sleep, I feel like a new woman the next day. Unfortunately, that very rarely happens.

Some of yall need to get your sleep hygiene fixed. Less than about 6 hours of sleep on average can cause significant cognitive declines and a more untimely death.

Let me know if you have any ideas. I don't drink, don't smoke, don't work in my bedroom. No drugs. I only nap during the day if I'm sick or I just can't keep my eyes open. I know if I nap, I'll be up all night. I just ordered a new mattress hoping that will help some.

I've taken prescription sleep meds that will knock me out, but I'm usually awake again within 4 or 5 hours. I've done yoga, meditation and even have a noise machine that will do rain, thunderstorms and other sounds.

My sleep issues are nothing new. I've always had trouble sleeping.

Blue light blockers and no screens for at least an hour before bed. Room as dark as possible and cold. Most importantly, go to bed at the same time every night. Your body produces melotonin and other sleep hormones and becomes very efficient if it knows exactly what time all of that stuff needs to happen. Conversely, if your cyrcadian rhythm is bad your body is bad at putting itself to sleep.

My secret to recovery sleep, and going to sleep is a cpap. No study, just bought one to help filter my air through a heppa, as developed a severe dust mite allergy, and being inside was my worst environment. So, one idea led to another, after room, air filters helped some....as well as mattress covering etc. Got the CPap online, YouTube for the code to chsnge settings, and started at about an 8 pressure setting. Whole set-up was about 250, used the water at first, but gradually, started just leaving the water out. Now, I just put the thing on, and like Pavlov’s dog, I’m out....Good recovery, don’t hurt, and mind is refreshed, instead of tired all the time...

Currently 3 to 4 hours per night, the Time Continuum is out of sync. Something is just not right.

Not good. Last night I forgot my trazadone. I woke up about one to take a pee. Usually I can't get back to sleep for a while. But I remembered and took my meds and slept like a baby till seven. That's the plan for me from now on.
