Go to an animal shelter. Tell them you want the biggest, baddest breed of peace they have there (there will be quite a selection). Post it on a chain on your front porch. (Just kidding)
Actually, what kind of dogs do you have? Post “Beware of biting dogs” on front door.. when you answer the door, tell them you have dogs and they WILL bite you. That’s all I got.

Before people turned into autistic hermits who were scared of human interaction the reason people put up those signs is because the wife ALWAYS bought shite from solicitors while daddy was at work.
So it was ingrained in the heads of salespeople to absolutely knock on those doors.
Nowadays I would assume that those signs are so prolific they are meaningless.
Your best option is to either build a fence with a locked gate and camera, or put up a sign/photo of your pit looking real angry and a "not responsible for any injuries you may sustain if you are trespassing, bye bye".
Or you could just tell them to leave through the video doorbell.

You can usually tell when its Jehovah. I will be in my living room with the window open and they can see me right there.. Knock on the door and I will not answer and it pisses them off. One time I could hear the woman as she motioned "I mean he is right there"..
If I am doing something and someone knocks and I am not expecting anyone, I figured if it is important enough they will come back.
Has the home security people come by yet? I was in the front yard the last time one of them came by. He saw the camera and tried to get me to switch I told him I didn't have time to discuss it. The funny thing is, I wasn't really doing anything, but that was me telling him I had no interest and to leave me TF alone.
