How to prevent rock chips in my car paint?

Other than "don't drive into rocks" and "apply a car bra," is there any way to prevent rocks from chipping the paint on the front of my car?
My car is almost 2 years old, and I've started to notice chips in my bumper and hood. I'm not a road warrior at all - 80% of my driving is to and from work - so I don't think it's my driving habits. I do what I can to take great condition of my car, but this seems out of my control. It's driving me nuts.
Is there anything I can do to prevent this - like applying some sort of clear coat or a ceramic treatment?

Be a man and get a truck.

Prior to getting any rock chips, i.e. taking car from dealership brand new, the best way to prevent them is to apply a "clear shield" on the front bumper, 1/4 of hood and side mirrors.
Probably costs about $500.00, give or take a few.
Other than that, don't drive if you don't want rock chips.

Clearbra, but it sounds like the damage is already done

Damn I wish I would have known that. This is my first brand new car. I wonder how much it would be to ask to get it done now and just color in the current chips.

drive backwards and the front will be good

I have one of these. Works great for rocks. The downside are bugs. They somehow seem to fuse with the plastic and it's nearly impossible to get their splatter print out of the plastic. I also have a black car, so that doesn't help.

Stop driving so close behind other vehicles, particularly trucks on the highway.

My wife (against my will) bought some package with her new accord. Fixing these chips were part of the package.
Two years later i now applaud the 10 bucks or so a month. She takes it in 2x/year and it looks showroom new

How much did that cost you? I'm looking into it online, but everyone just asks you to put your info in and get a quote. I don't want a bunch of salesmen calling me.

Put a ceramic/sealant on the clear bra

It varies on the size of the car, where applied and what product

If you live in Louisiana you really can’t do much. At like 3am every night, there’s a gravel crew who ride around and drop shovels full of rock at allllllll the main intersections and interstate ramps. It’s quite amazing.

I live in Dallas so I don't have to worry about shitty roads.
