We have some old farts like you in my neighborhood. They whined so much until they put a random stop sign.

I use this situation to show off my football throwing skills. Hitting a passing douchebag at 35+ mph is a crowd pleaser.

I see a sign all the time on West Esplanade. It says "35 mph drive like your kids lived here"
I see it all the time and think. No way in hell my kids would be playing on West Esplanade, nor would I ever raise a family on a main thoroughfare.

One time a grown up was all rev'ed up and screeching down my street. When I heard him turn around and start heading back my way I picked up a dog-spit soaked tennis ball and heaved it into this open window. When he stopped and backed up I politely asked him to slow it down. He was not too happy about the tennis ball or me being overly polite with my request.

we got speed bumps installed at our old house.
We had one neighbor get a petition and all the neighbors signed it. and next thing we knew we had speeds bumps.

first house i bought was on the downside of a hill that had a 4-way stop at the top.
teenagers would not even slow for the stop and if it wasnt for the sound of the engine, i wouldn't have had time to get out of the way of them before they came flying blind over it.

I remember seeing a yard sign online once that stated something like " Slow down, if you hurt my kids you won't need a lawyer; you'll need a mortician".

Teach your kids to play in the backyard and not in the road. Roads are for cars not for kids.
