I noticed on mychart the other day that I took my flu shot in early September last year. I just saw my doctor in July so I guess next time I go (3 months) I will have to get it again..

Looks like I am good for the most part. I am pretty sure its been longer than 10 years since I had a tetanus, I might request that one next time.

You need to see a doctor. The bulk of things that cause lockjaw require medical attention.

Find a dentist in your area with A diode laser. Preferably between 740 - 900nm. Call and get an appointment for low level laser therapy. Takes less than 5 minutes and is painless. You'll get immediate relief.

Ask for a Tdap....that way you get coverage for pertussis as well. Very important if you are gonna be around babies under 2 months...ever. Adults usually need a pertussis booster vaccine. The coverage they had as a child can wear off in adulthood.

Pertussis (whooping cough) may not kill you as an adult...but it can kill babies. Babies have died of pertussis from adults (parents and family) that passed it on to them. They cannot start the pertussis series of vaccinations until they are at least 2 months old.

It is why they will give pregnant women Tdap vaccine with every pregnancy they have. Even if they were pregnant before and had the shot with that pregnancy.

Don’t see what the problem is. Lockjaw was a pretty good pet.

Probably from grinding your teeth at night while you sleep.
Wear a football mouthguard when you sleep.

My uncle stepped on a sliver of metal about the size of a fingernail clipping.

Soon after, he lay in bed with lockjaw moaning "I'm going to God; I'm going to God." He died of tetanus at age 10. My father was born 2 months earlier.

Now this was in the 20s; sanitation wasn't the best and obviously no vaccine.
But get that tetanus shot.
