If you want to read an article but it's blocked by a paywall, there's an easy way to get access to it.

1. Copy the link to the article.
2. Go to archive.md
3. Past the link into the first (red) box and hit save.
4. It will download all the data from the website and post the article for you to read.
Simple!

Depends on the browser you're using. What do you use, both phone and computer?

Edit: it also only works on some sites; it used to work everywhere, but some of your more expensive paid news sites have gotten clever by showing an image of the article instead of the article itself until they verify you. But, probably works 75%+ of the time.

More news sites are chopping off Reader Mode at the preview.

Haha was actually addressing that when you replied. Though some, like The Advocate, can be tricked if you hit reload once in reader mode. But some of the major national magazines do what I described above.

Unlock origin works well. Generally just hit the "disable scripts" option if a page pops up a "pay to read" div over the article

I have been thinking about going back to magazine cause of all the damn adds on websites these days. I read a lot of guitar stuff and I see there are a couple of companies that still print magazines once a month.

It's not perfect, but sometimes I can beat the paywall by using CTRL + P right when the page reloads. And just reading the article in the print preview.
