This is what they call secretaries now?

I got two calls over the last week asking me to move to Reno or LV to do this work...If you can't leverage something like that, shoot me the company and I'll take your job

Go into their office each morning and take a dump on their desk. Tell them that will happen every morning until they start letting you work at home.

This is where you find another job.
The IT world is hot right now anyway. Why put up with it?

Thats true, but replaceable does not always mean affordable.

Why would you want to work for department like that? It's a hostile environment now.
If you are a data systems analyst there are so many other jobs you can do remotely.
What industry are you in? What's your degree in? What's your experience? Get on LinkedIn. Pimp yourself out.
You're staying because you are comfortable and its familiar.

Gain some leverage by getting another job opportunity. Get the remote job and a raise.

You sound like a conceded douche bag. I’d fire your arse if you came into my office with those demands and talking to me like that. You’re replaceable whether your inflated ego accepts that or not.

Your boss probably thinks you spend to much time posting on TD
instead of working
instead of working

it's never seemed fair to me that certain co-workers can work in their pajamas all day while others have to get up, out, and be seen in the office.
I think companies can save some costs if they offered this as an alternative to coming into an office. I'm of the mindset that if you get the job done, why does it matter whether you are at home, the office, or library? Studies have shown that people who work remotely have higher job satisfaction ratings than those who do not.

Real talk:
Your boss doesn't like you.
You told your boss you want to go live with your grandmother and have taken extended time off of work for a back injury. Right or wrong, he doesn't respect you.
He wants you to leave.
Line up a new job in Louisiana. I would imagine your skills would allow you to find something nice in Lafayette.
