They were staging out of Aviano. Didn't realize it happened in Germany
The 173rd flag is in Italy but I'm pretty sure the have a batt size element in Germany, or they did.

The good news is that ISIS can't use them anymore either.

I would chew that laughing guy's Butt out for posting that.

Got ya. I'm not sure about the army side but I know the 17s and crew we sent over were staging out of Aviano.

Wow, as a former 82nd guy I've never seen anything like that
In my time at Bragg (2010-2013) I read at least 6 reports of heavy drop burn-ins.

All three had the same failures from what I was able to make out. They had good canopy and then the vehicle separated from the platform. This was deliberate. And I am seething about it right now.
Hard to tell on my phone but it appeared a few others came down on their noses.

That is the issue at hand. I have never seen a multiple loss drop like that.

Does the loadmaster have any responsibilities wrt the rigging, or is this all going to be on the Army guys?
Did one of the guys filming mention 'burn-in' before any of them fell, and then say 'called it' after? I'd guess he's going to get some pointed questions.

I just re-watched that video.
Holy shite. Clearly intentional. I had forgotten how intentional that looks on film. That dude is going to prison.

What aggravates me the most (setting aside the property loss), is he put the DZSO and his team at risk by what he did. Scum.

This was intentional sabotage.

Definitely. I mean, what are the mathematical odds of anything else?

Seems like they could just write that off.

since the guy who took the video spoke english, i presume this was a practice run and those were junk...hopefully we use junk in practice
Yes, junk is used in practice. However, the loadmasters are in for a world of shite.
