Wasn’t there a myth busters or a fishing show that broke this myth?

Dude just crawled in with a bunch of them and they didn’t care?

I have encountered much less quicksand than I had expected.

I’ve never seen quicksand like in the movies but have dealt with a lot of quicksand while working for my dad when I was younger, seems like entire town of Zwolle sits on quicksand that is just below the surface

There have been several guys now show that the old thought of piranha just eating anything in the river the second it gets in is false.

Multiple video explanations of guys putting their legs in a piranha tank and showing that they don’t react like that

This is why I bring a ragg'n skank when I travel. Works for bears, too.

As a kid in the 70's and 80's, piranhas and quicksand terrified me.

Watching old black and white adventure films you would think quicksand and piranhas were everywhere.

Piranhas and quicksand were two of 8 year-old me’s biggest fears. Turns out I should have been worried about LBJ.

True. I've never seen piranhas looting stores.

And I've never had to avoid an area due to quicksand

The more you know! Will be filing this information firmly away in the 'what if' category, extremely unlikely but not 0% haha

And don’t forget Big Foot. Thankfully, we had Steve Austin to keep him in line.

All of us from that time still alive today owe him a debt that can never really be repaid.

That's not what Hollywood taught me and they never embellish.

DON'T CROSS RIVER. That's how you do it. Or a boat.
