see what the story was

He went on a spree of restaurant robberies. Sticking up a place around closing time and stealing wallets + jewelry from the clientele while stealing all cash on hand from the restaurants.

NY Times Article

Holeeee Shite he was also arrested for two bank robberies and multiple car jackings.

So a pandemic that caused massive unemployment and depression has resulted in more homelessness and crime?

No kidding.

I think you can say that for every city in the country though. But hey, it's cool to pick on only one...

Cities that are run better with different types of demographics aren't suffering as much (albeit still somewhat suffering). It's okay to pick on New Orleans, they're in their current situation because of their decisions.

Have been here all day at both Port of Call and Lafitte’s. Walked back to the warehouse district as well. I’m happy to report I’m still alive.

That article is from 2015, and it also says this:

quote:

The number of robberies in 2014 was greater than in any year since Hurricane Katrina in 2005 — and armed robberies are up this year — but it was still a fraction of the number in the 1990s

I'd say more like 2016ish. When was LaToya elected? That's probably around when it started turning into Juarez.
