I have a buddy who is 30 and lives at home with his parents. His parents are older and own a large property that he helps them take care of. It works out well for everyone.

I think it's fine if you're in grad school, and maybe even for a year or two while you save some cash while working, but 25 is the edge.

I prefer to think of it as I'm letting them stay with me. It just happens to be in their house and they pay most of the bills.

By 25 I don't plan on staying with them.

One of the older guys at work told me as soon as the last child graduates high school you sell the house and get a 1 bedroom condo on the beach.

After college, I lived with the parents till I was 32, financially it was awesome, socially it sucked....
Had to recently move back in for a little over 2 months when I was relocating cities, and it just about drove me insane by the end of it. Couldn't imagine living with them from the time I graduate until 32. That sounds like hell.

I'm old and am currently living in my home right now.
Should I not be doing this?

As long as you're being productive, or at least trying, I see no problem living with your folks. Now if you're being a lazy bum and not contributing then you should be ashamed of yourself. I know a couple guys from my neighborhood still living at home with no future. They're both in their mid 30's

not really. Someone could be living at home temporarily while shopping for a home, for instance. Or a job.
