For those old enough, how old were your kids when you cut out Santa leaving gifts on Christmas morning and just gave them wrapped presents.

I have two boys and we cut my first son off at 16. Since my other son was younger, we kept leaving both kids things till then.

Now my second child is mildly autistic and he is 17 so this will be his last year. Gonna be a fun conversation later.

I was a only child and I believe my parents cut me off on Santa around 14-15.

If he’s driving, no more than 2 drinks at my place.

Your son may suspect. Looks like he just asked the OT if Santa is real or not. Better have the sex talk with him soon or he will come to the OT for that as well

That's weird, most kids are done about 10 and the weird ones make it to 12.

Parents just let us figure it out on our on

Was they knew we knew nothing really changed other than knowing the gifts were coming from them

Our gifts were never really wrapped and there was no to/from tag anyway

My kids are grown and still have gifts under the tree every year. Never had a from person on the tag.

Never. My kid doesn’t really believe anymore but we still do Santa.

He’s 11.

I’m in my 30’s and still get gifts from “Santa.” I was 8 when I figured out he wasn’t real.

OT gotta OT .. Unless your kids don’t goto school this is not going to happen. Kids talk in 4-5 grade and that’s about when Santa dies.

yeah, i dont know why this question comes up so often. this isnt like sex where you need to make sure your kid knows to use protection.

i'm thinkin its that poors are tired of buying gifts and they feel like they are off the hook once their kid finds out Santa isnt real

Yep. And we kept giving both for the younger son. Like I said, my younger son is autistic and behind normal 17 year olds.

It isn't about being "real" or not. The unwrapped Santa gifts were just special. It had some mystery and magic.
