My Mama father was dead when I was born but Madear was born in 1944…

No idea how old my father’s father was

the common cultural variable in USA is high school. if "high school" trade school ended at age 14 you would see millions of births to parents age 15 to 17.

He was born in 1862 in Toulon, France, his father was from New Orleans and an emissary to France at the time. I understand he only rarely spoke English. My father was born in 1916, the last of his 20 children from 2 wives.
