Every now and then I have to work a late shift to cover Australia and New Zealand. I usually get to work at 11:30AM for that.

53 and 9:15. It’s software—always been that way in 26 years of my career.

Plus we work after hours or early hours at home if we have meetings or calls w overseas workers

This is not 1946. People can take work with them and do it a lot more efficiently. And we’re doing a crap ton more

I dont know how people do this. That sounds horrible imo. I love my wife and all, but I come to the shop sometimes to get away from family and have some quiet time to think.

That's for sure.

I wasn't meaning to say that, only that there's big differences in people born between 1981 and 1996 because of the rapid growth of technology. I was 1988 and still remember childhood without internet and especially without broadband. Those older than me remember it much more and later in their lives. You were probably around 10 when Facebook was opened to everyone. I was 18. Something as little as access to Facebook during highschool can cause big differences between people.

7:30 to 8:30 depending on if it’s a day where I need to get kids to school.

It amazes me that all the milineals in our office don’t show up for work until 9:00-9:30am. Half my damn day is gone before I can have a meeting if one of them is needed.

You're probably in bed by 9pm every night too, right?

I wake up around 6:30am, walk to the kitchen and start the coffee, then I grab my computer and start working. It's typically between 6:35-6:45 at that point.

I'm 31.

When I had to go into an office, I would start working between 8:30-9.

You work a 6 hour day and you're calling the millennials lazy?
