I’m 39 and write checks for bills. I like paper trails to remind me that I made a payment.

I had to write a check recently and noticed that it was the last one I had.

Looked up the last time I ordered checks, and it was 12 years ago.

I still have a box of Hibernia Bank checks. That is how few I write checks on that account. They should still work despite Crapital One changing the routing number on my account to single national routing number instead of the one that was used for Hibernia bank.

Weekly. Our house cleaner doesn’t take Venmo, Zelle or PayPal. Only cash or check. I always forget to go by the atm and end up just cutting a check. Aside from that, almost never.

I don't write checks. If I need to send a check to someone or some place, I will send it from the bank via bill pay. Then I can choose when to have it delivered by, track shipping, and keep tabs on it getting processed. It's free and doesn't even cost postage.

Lafayette city property tax still has to be paid with a personal check. No direct bank transfer possible. Oh yes, debit and credit cards are accepted but with a huge service fee. If not for that, I would never write out a check.

C'mon Lafayette, you told me we're big time cutting edge here. You lied.

I write 1 check a year and that is for my HOA dues. Why these people cant get with the times and have an online payment is beyond me.

I have a rental property with an account completely separate from my personal finances, so I pay all of those expenses (taxes, HOA, and repairs) by check. Everything else is either drafted, billed to my CC, or paid online. A book of checks will last me years.

I think my Regions checkbook of 20 has been owned for about a couple of years and out of the five pack I am on the second one. I think half the checks I have written have been to small businesses for repair work at my rentals (places who won't take a card) and the other half have been for earnest money from buying properties .
